Dipping my toe into crisp yellow ochre

After 50 circuses

50 halos

Each holding the other’s tightly

Protecting

Hiding

Justifying

Smiling

Singing stories, swelling 50 wide

Learning lessons from fickle’s folly

Shaping blindness to a gossamer view

Shift the threshold with a pause from wisdom’s smile

Aware, that steady spell’s favor is now

Lovely, lovely poem. Especially the lines “Learning lessons from fickle’s folly/Shaping blindness to a gossamer view.” This perfectly depicts a current life task of mine… learning lessons, shaping blindness… well done.

“Learning lessons from fickle’s folly
Shaping blindness to a gossamer view
Shift the threshold with a pause from wisdom’s smile”

…much learnt on the journey through maturity. Well said.

Amazing poem! I too really resonated with these lines:

Learning lessons from fickle’s folly
Shaping blindness to a gossamer view
Shift the threshold with a pause from wisdom’s smile

Others mentioned it above, and, I have to agree–

“Learning lessons from fickle’s folly”

–is a great line. Alliteration sounding nice aloud.
