The ladies of San Gimignano were thrilled to hear that Cary Grant would be passing through town but knew they would have to work quickly. The next day as Mr. Grant’s car drove down Via San Matteo, he commented to his driver how odd it seemed that none of the homes had any curtains. When he entered the town square and saw his welcoming committee, he knew why.

Ha! Yes, I needed to read it and look it over more than once and then *snicker*
Thanks!
Hey derby girl, glad you liked it. Hope all is well by you.
My first smile of the day! Trying to figure out how my sister-in-law got in the photo.
Ha! Thanks for the giggle.
Not to mention they all have donned their sexiest dresses, too! What’s even more frightening, is the fact that the oldest-looking woman in this photo was probably younger than I am now — ouch!
Loved this!
Thanks Audrey!
WHY??? Now I am going to have to guess!! ^_^
Because the ladies who are lined up in the photo look like their dresses are made from drapery. This is a prime example of me being in my own head seeing something and assuming that everyone else sees it as well. I’m not sure what that is called but if I am to be a writer for the people, I’d better figure it out! Thanks.
By the look of their handbags, I think some of them are still carrying their sewing machines in case of emergency repairs
Oh Mynx, you are a scream! Thanks for my first morning giggle.
OHHHHHHHHHHH I see!!! Sorry I am bit slow. 3 kids…..First one took 1 half of my brain, the 2nd took the other half, and the 3rd………………..well this is all that’s left! lol
Mynx that’s funny!
I know! Isn’t Mynx a hoot?
She sure is. Beautiful lady. Makes a mean scone too! ^_^
I love this. It may be my first laugh of the day and it’s 11:17 pm. THANKS as usual! You are such a wit.
