Like I wrote, they’ve seen everything bad the world has to offer on YouTube already so a little boy living in the projects doesn’t hit them like it hit me way back in the day.

Even though I didn’t have a sheltered life, it was humbling to realize how much worse it could be. In some ways, I think, we’ve gone too far the other direction. Kids are often immune to the harsh realities these days. The ‘it can’t happen to me’ way of thinking, until jobs are lost and it all hits home. There’s way too much of that going on now.
